Every night, legions of zombies scratch at the outer walls of Dragon City, trying to claw their way into the grim and gritty metropolis ruled over by the Dragon Emperor, the mighty beast that keeps the hordes of hungry dead from storming the place and tearing it to the ground. Inside, ex-adventurer Max Gibson – now “Freelance” – tries to keep his head down and enjoy his early retirement, but something keeps digging up parts of his long-buried past.
First he has to rescue an old pal from murder charges. Next he has a run-in with the corrupt Imperial Dragon’s Guard and the dwarven mafia that run the city’s under-mountain. After that, things get much worse, and Max soon finds himself wrapped up in a plot that involves the Dragon Emperor’s young offspring and the fabled leader of the undead hordes herself, the legendary Ruler of the Dead.
With the fate of Dragon City and all its occupants in his hands, what will Max do? Who does he truly care about? And what is he willing to destroy to protect them?
This omnibus edition contains all six Shotguns & Sorcery stories written to date. This includes:

Formats
I’m trying some new things with this book. You can get it as an ebook just about anywhere you want. If you prefer to buy it directly, I take payments for that via Gumroad, but please get it whatever way you like.
Most ebook vendors sell the ePub edition of the book. Amazon sells the Mobi/Kindle edition. If you buy through Gumroad or DriveThruFiction, you get a zip file with the ePub, Mobi, and PDF editions. I don’t use DRM on any of the versions.
You can also find paper versions in three different places. Amazon has a paperback edition. DriveThruFiction has it in paperback and a gaming-style hardback, and Barnes and Noble has it in a traditional hardcover with a dust jacket.
If all goes well, these will all be available on February 18. (Publishing is not an exact science, but here’s hoping.)
Editions
Outland Entertainment released a paperback version of this book in 2019, but only in limited numbers, and it’s now out of print. I personally polished this latest version, making a few minor corrections here and there and laying it out in a more open format, which bumped it from 448 pages to 610. If you’re one of the lucky ones who snagged that earlier release, there’s no need to replace that version with this latest, definitive version.
Not all of the editions and vendors are available at the moment because the book is churning its way through various reviews. I’ll post the new links for each place as they’re approved.
