The folks at Playmates Toys have posted a slew of photos (in parts one, two, and three) from last weekend’s Megacon. I’m told they had a fantastic time at the show and that Marvel Heroes Battle Dice was a huge hit, with over 80% of the people who played the game buying it!
Quarter-Million Spider-Men for US Schools
According to GamingReport.com, Playmates Toys is distributing 250,000 Spider-Man figures and a battle die to 1,000 middle schools across the United States. The report states: The sampling is focused in the Atlanta, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Fort Worth, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, and Sacramento areas. Very cool, although it perhaps implies that the Spider-Man clone saga got a little out of control.

New Marvel Battle Dice Playmat
Playmates has released a PDF of a demo-ready playmat for Marvel Heroes Battle Dice. This puts the regular playmat together with the reference sheet that describes all the different powers in the game. It’s the perfect tool for teaching people how to play, and the Playmates demo team will be using it at their premiere appearance at Megacon next weekend.
