Well you got my money no matter what. I really enjoyed the Cortex system and use Cortex Prime to play the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I'm hoping there will be options for that in the game, or a sourcebook since it is 'Multiverse". I'm impressed with your credentials and look forward to the product... sooo long of a wait time though!

I’m afraid I can’t say more at the moment about the particulars, but it is a whole new system.

Now I am thinking about update the software of "Marvel: Create your own" to be used in virtual-table-tops.

Do you imagine a game-live show in Disney+, like Critical Role? Or a future videogame using the 616 system, but I wonder about the power balance when it is a fight katanas vs kalasnitovs.

What if any superhumans need a "nerfing"? because the games, tabletop or videoconsoles need a balance between power and weakness, success and failure, and more when it is a PvP with a list of different playable characters. In the arcade "Marvel vs Capcom" martial artists, for example Chun-Li, from Street Fighters, could defeat Galactus, the final boss. In the Marvel MMO squads of IMA or Hydran could be defeated by a martial artist as Daredevil, Iron Fist, Elektra or Shang-chi. How can the Game-Master to avoid overpowered PCs.

I wonder how to mix PCs with different power levels, because a street vigilante can't face the same menace than a star-traveler/space marine. Or the different wealths, because someones are very rich, for example Tony Stark and the Fantastic Four but others have to make serious efforts to pay the bills in the month-end.

As I mention in the post, I can't get into particulars about the game yet.

As for Marvel's commitment, I can't make any guarantees for a corporation I don't own. However, I think that perception is wrong. There are a number of Marvel game lines that have been going on for some time. We've been working on this game for a good while, and the company seems dedicated to me. Of course, the best way to keep the game going is to make a great game that sells well.

You have created quite the stir today in the tabletop gaming world with your announcement of your upcoming RPG.
I have a few things to ask you.

Marvel has earned a reputation for being hair triggered to pulling the plug even when a system is successful despite not pulling dungeons and dragon level numbers.
understand, not every system hits that level of popularity immediately.

how are team rosters going to be laid out?
Adventures?
Will this be supported with miniatures?
What is the level of commitment Marvel is dedicating to
backing this?

I am sure lots of fans will want to use the game to create their own timelines, for example a 2020 year where the heroes are the third generation after the first avengers in the 60's.

I wonder about if the system will be with a leveling-up like the most famous TTRPG, and how to find the right power balance to avoid possible abuses by the munchkins. How to design encounters and challengues when the PCs are "ordinary humans", for example Hawk-Eye, Black Widow, Electra and Punisher for Skrull: Secret Invasion, the Age of Apocalypse or Hulk: World War. For example robot Sentinel could be too easy for some superheroes but a true hell for others.

Thanks, Ken! I know the wait feels long, but printing lead times means I won't have nearly as much of it before the book goes to press.

I am beyond excited for this, My first rpg was far Marvel Superhero in 1984, my exposure to comics was over a decade earlier than that, while getting a cast off due to a amputation of my left foot the technician gave me a beat up Spider-Man comic and I was hooked. This will be a long year to wait for to play test book.
It has been too long since an official Marvel rpg, thank you and Marvel for this.
