Thanks for the very kind words. I can’t tell you what that means to me! I miss the comic industry but particularly retail comics and games more than I can ever say. I really miss the wonderful people! Ultimately there was an event at Blackhawk that dragged me and the store down.

I have very fond memories of 28 years of great times and people. I landed at Chessex Manufacturing in Fort Wayne as general manager three years ago, but my heart is still in retail comics and games.

Just to let you know, there’s a reason there is less stuff. In the final years of Tomorrow is Yesterday, we were constantly having 50% off sales on our merchandise to try and stay afloat. It ravaged our stock and ultimately wasn’t enough to keep us from going under. It’s going to be a long, slow climb to get the place back to anything like it was. However, I can guarantee that we have more comics than when you were in last.

My brother and I used to visit that shop many times in our youth. I went back to Rockford this weekend for a relay race. After the race I thought it would be awesome to visit Tomorrow is Yesterday on my way home. I arrived to find a place called Top-Cut Comics. It has some cool things and has a birthday wheel just like the old store had, but ultimately it was not the same. It had less comics and less memorabilia. I will probably not go back and will forever miss the old store.
