I thought that “Hobby Games: The 100 Best” was one of the best gaming products ever produced, for active gamers and as an “informative” piece for those who are baffled by gaming as a hobby.

To read that Jim is following it up with a book about Family Games is awesome. Not only will it provide another opportunity to read excellent articles discussing “mainstream games,” it will provide another gateway to the hobby. Something like the following.

X reads “Family Games: The 100 Best” and likes it.
X reads “Hobby Games: The 100 Best” and likes it.
X plays Descent by FFG and likes it.
X pays untold riches for a copy of Space Hulk and is forever a gamer.
