I suspect that I’ll have to keep going year after year in order for this to occur (and my absense this year is damaging to my cause). But the community you describe–I think that’s one of the best and most admirable things about our industry. We love the hobby, and we enjoy spending time with others who love the hobby. The thing I’m missing most about not going to GenCon this year has very little to do with the event itself and everything to do with not getting a chance to chat with the people I so enjoyed spending time with last year.
