But if you liked the old Giffen/Maguire/DeMatteis stuff, you could do much worse than Invincible.

(Cheesy phrasing, but true all the same.) One of my gaming friends told me he was reading this cool superhero comic. I went in search of it when I next visited the local Forbidden Planet. Of course, I got the name wrong, so ending up with Powers instead. What a fortuitous mistake that was! I’ve got (all?) 9 of the TPB’s since last December, and it just keeps getting better.

To me, Powers is the The Wire of superhero comics (and you can find out how good that makes it IMO by following this gratuitous plug to my RD/KA! article about this stupendous TV cop show…). If you could glean any hints about the future of Powers, that’d be just brilliant Matt.
