To illustrate my point, please check out the following Fox/BCS webpage on Michigan: http://www.bcsfootball.org/cfb/team?statsId=29 . If you scroll down to look at the Big Ten Standings, you will notice that Michigan is ranked 3rd after Wisconsin.

As a Badger Fan, I can laugh, but that is really sloppy.

I’ve played a few times, and I used to caddy for my father and grandfather as a kid, but I never developed a passion for it.

You’re right about this glaring flaw in the BCS, Brett, although it’s just one of many. The BCS is a compromise system used to get us close to a post-season tournament without making those big-money bowls go away, and it shows badly. Either way, I’d love to make it out to the Rose Bowl too, although I doubt it will happen this year (for me, not Michigan!).

I think the current situation exposes a glaring weakness in the game theory of the BCS system…the possibility of inter-conference rematches in the title game, something that probably should never happen.

I’m thinking M vs. Florida in the Rose Bowl…I might try to fly out for that one.
