Back in the day Mutant Chronicles started as a substitute 40k rpg for me, but the richness of some of the background really took the game in a different direction. The old system was pretty lethal, but it matched the setting very well, and the art was inspiring.  

Ironically, when the new 40k rpg comes out it will be the Mutant Chronicles substitute in my mind.]]></description>
