My first full-size roleplaying game book was Western Hero for Iron Crown Enterprises, way back in 1991 or so. I also wrote a version of it for their Rolemaster system called Outlaw. Then in 1996, I co-founded Pinnacle Entertainment Group with Shane Hensley to publish his weird western RPG called Deadlands. I developed that line with Shane for three or four years before I left the company, and I wrote or edited dozens of products for it, including The Great Rail Wars. I also helped out a bit on the Doomtown collectible card game from Wizards of the Coast, which was based on Deadlands.
