RSS feeds beat e-mail all hollow. I suppose the only reason to drive people to the site is for them to see the comments. Right now, they get a link and an excerpt from the text.

I’m using the Subscribe2 plugin to handle the subscriptions. It was a snap to install, and so far it works like a charm.

For what it’s worth, Matt, I wouldn’t subscribe to an email update service if a RSS feed was available, but for the purpose of giving your visitors info, sending them the whole update is best. For the purpose of driving visitors to your site, sending them the link and [if possible] an excerpt of the text will bring to them to your page, and then they may see other things that you’ve posted recently and they missed.

Are you using some sort of plugin for the mailing functionality, and if so, which one?
