Mutants Take Turin

If you happen to be in Turin, Italy, this weekend, you can join in the Mutant Chroni-Con, a convention dedicated to all things Mutant Chronicles. They’ll be playing Mutant Chronicles, Doomtrooper, Warzone, and Dark Eden plus (I think) screening the Mutant Chronicles film. I sadly can’t be there, but my pal, the great illustrator Alex Horley will be around on …

Mutant Chronicles on Atomic Array (and in Theaters!)

Ed Healy and Rone Barton of the Atomic Array podcast interviewed both director Simon Hunter and myself this week for a special edition Mutant Chronicles edition of their regular show. I had the pleasure of meeting Simon and his son at the premiere on Tuesday night (about which I’ll write more soon), and it’s a thrill to hear him hold …

Mutant Storytellers

My latest essay for Storytellers Unplugged is now up. It’s a short note about my long history with the Mutant Chronicles, and what a great time I had writing the novelization.

Mutant Chronicles in Theaters this Week

It must be Mutant Chronicles Week. Today, I’m doing an interview about the Mutant Chronicles film (or at least my novelization of it) with Ed Healy for the Atomic Array podcast. Tomorrow, I’m heading out to LA for the US premiere. (I’ve never been to any kind of film opening before, so this should be fun in many different ways.) …

Mutant Chronicles on XBox Live

I was browsing for some new Rock Band and Guitar Hero tracks, when I stumbled on this: The Mutant Chronicles film is now available for rental, in both standard and HD formats, on XBox Live. While it won’t be in theaters in the US until later this month, you can see it already in your home. Very cool!

The 2009 Scribe Awards Nominations

The IAMTW just announced the nominees for its 2009 Scribe Awards, which are for the best tie-novels of the year. The awards committees were kind enough to nominate my Mutant Chronicles novelization for two awards: Best Speculative Fiction Adapted and Special Gaming Scribe – Best Adapted. See below for the full list nominees, many of which were written by good …

New Mutant Chronicles Trailer

Here’s a new “red-band” (essentially R-rated) trailer for the upcoming Mutant Chronicles film, for which I wrote the novelization. It premieres on HDVOD on March 27 and then in theaters on April 24. It’s gory, action-packed stuff, not appropriate for kids, but then neither is the film or the book.

Mutant Chronicles Trailer Up

The official US trailer for the Mutant Chronicles film (on which my novelization is based) is up on Apple’s movie trailer site. I haven’t seen the final cut yet myself, and I cannot wait.

Favorite Mutant Chronicles Novelization Review

James Holloway recently posted a list of the books he’s read over the past few months. In it, he gives a three-sentence comment about my Mutant Chronicles novelization that’s my favorite summation to date. (Scroll down to “January” to read it.)   Meanwhile, here’s the latest poster for the upcoming release of the film, plus a set of hi-res stills from …
