My pal Marc Gascoigne—formerly of the Black Library and Solaris—was just recently named the head of Angry Robot, a new imprint of HarperCollins.
For fans (and writers) of genre fiction, this is, of course, excellent news.

So now you know two people (at least!) connected with HarperCollins — I still assemble the UK import catalogue for HarperCollins Canada (the old day job) as a freelance gig. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Angry Robot retains Canadian rights for their books.
Congrats to Marc – I’m looking forward to the list!

Me too! Glad to hear your freelancing is going great as well.
I know at least one other HC employee (and RPG industry pal). Aaron Rosenberg has worked for them in NYC for years. He’s even written a few things for them, including part of the new line of Transformers: Animated books for kids.
