Earlier this year, Wizards of the Coast asked me to pitch a story for a Mirrorstone anthology, a collection of short stories for young-adult readers, edited by Steve Berman. I jumped at the opportunity, and now I’m told my story will accompany those of Eugie Foster, J. D. Everyhope, Sean Manseau, Tiffany Trent, Gregory Frost, Jim C. Hines, Janni Lee Simner, Lawrence M. Schoen, E. Sedia, Nina Kiriki Hoffman, Craig Laurance Gidney, Beth Bernobich, Cassandra Clare, and Holly Black.
Look for Magic in the Mirrorstone in Spring 2008.

I will definitely be picking this one up, and I am glad to see Holly Black in the list of authors.

Yeah, Holly’s great. I sat on a panel and did a signing with her (and loads of other talented people) at Comic Con this past summer. Ironically, she got her start in the adventure gaming industry too, with a magazine called d8.

Congrats, Matt! Same age level as the Knights books?

My story is, but I can’t speak for the rest, as I haven’t read them. Since Mirrorstone is explicity the young-adult imprint for Wizards, all the stories should be for young audiences, although I couldn’t specifiy the age range for sure.
