For all you computer/video game fans out there, what’s your favorite dungeon crawler? I’m looking for the latest and greatest. Thanks!

I really hate to date myself, but I really loved playing C:\ Hack

Then of course Darkstone and Diablo

For me it depends on what system you are referring to. Right now I am really enjoying D&D Online which is very dungeon crawl oriented, but I have always loved all the “Infinity Engine” games on the PC. If you haven’t played them, the Icewind Dale series is great.

The PS2/Xbox versions of Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance 1 and 2 are great, as are Demon Stone and D&D Heroes is a very straight forward romp.

Classics? Sega: Beyond Oasis and D&D Warriors of the Eternal Sun.

Nintendo: The Dragon Warrior series and Zelda.

For a slight modification in “theme” but not in substance the X-Men legends games are great dungeon crawls.

I am about to start Dungeon Siege 2, (behind schedule I know). One was good, but very linear. Fable (xbox) was great and not as interactive as it may seem. In other words, you can finish it in a few hours.

Have a look at this silly little thing:

It’s Doom the Roguelike, and also quite the time-sink.
