I just found this in USAToday – from a piece on tattoos of NBA players:

Not sure if the D&D part is true, though. Sports writers still take potshots at gamers whenever they can. But I’m looking into it.

I saw Trent Reznor at Gen Con, walking around with a players badge, doing regular con stuff. It was a few years back, I think it was the first Gen Con in Indy.

He wasn’t a “Media Guest of Honor” so I can only assume he was there as a gamer.
