And another - filmmaker Paul Weitz (American Pie, and the upcoming Cirque du Freak movie).

"You know, I've worked on movies in the past that are based on books and I usually say...we're shooting the script. We're not shooting the book. But I felt like, well, I was a big Tolkein fan as a kid, and I played Dungeons and Dragons, and I know how important the screen adaptations of those were to me when I was a kid..."

New one for you - Georgian Supreme Court Justice David Nahimas - http://www.ajc.com/news/new-georgia-supreme-court-116310.html

He seems to be in a stage of geek denial, however - "Nahmias was also a great fan of that classic late ’70s/early ’80s pastime of geeky young men everywhere — Dungeons and Dragons. (When asked about it, Nahmias’ replied, “Yeah, but I did also play on the varsity soccer team.”)"

I just found this in USAToday - from a piece on tattoos of NBA players:

"The Spurs' Tim Duncan can hurt you on the court -- and in the Forbidden Forest. He likes playing Dungeons & Dragons so much, he got a tattoo of the wizard Merlin on his chest." - http://www.usaweekend.com/09_issues/090208/090208sports-tattoos.html

Not sure if the D&D part is true, though. Sports writers still take potshots at gamers whenever they can. But I'm looking into it.

I'd like to see Vin Diesel and Quentin Tarantino interviewed. This way we get the best of both types of gamers at the same time.

I saw Trent Reznor at Gen Con, walking around with a players badge, doing regular con stuff. It was a few years back, I think it was the first Gen Con in Indy.

He wasn't a "Media Guest of Honor" so I can only assume he was there as a gamer.
