  1. Hey, thanks for the heads up about DC Battle Dice. I am really peeved about the scale discrepancies, but I guess it’s a necessary evil to allow all figs to fit comfortably in the dice. BTW, is the Blue Beetle listed in Wave One the Ted Kord Blue Beetle, or this new symbiote Teen Blue Beetle. Please let it be the former!!

  3. Hi Perry!

I’m pretty sure it’s the Ted Kord Blue Beetle, as we started work on this before the new Beetle’s designs were available, but I haven’t seen the final sculpt yet. Either way, I’m a long-time fan of Ted’s.

  5. I’m big on Ted Kord, too. I remember an 80’s issue where he was battling someone on his ship (the Bug). He attacked the adversary with an onboard fire extinguisher that was really a flame thrower. Wacky!

  7. Some of my all-time favorite comics were the Giffen/DeMatteis/Maguire/Rubinstein Justice League books. They were just hilarious, and Blue Beetle and Booster Gold were a huge part of that.

  9. How accurate are the figure listings for Waves three and four of the DC set? They list Legionnaires (yay!) but have them by their previous code names before the book was relaunched last year. Live Wire is called Lightning Lad again and Brainiac 5.1 is back to just being Brainiac 5. So are the figures going to be based on the previous versions or the current ones?

  12. Thanks, Scott! I may take you up on that. I don’t always get to decide which figures go into which set. Often Playmates starts the sculpting before anything else, as making the figures is the longest part of the entire process.

Either way, though, it’s always good to get an extra set of eyes on things before publication.
