Playmates interviewed me about the Marvel Heroes Battle Dice game the other day, and they’ve just posted the conversation at the new website.
They also have a new page up with shots of the game and its packaging. Scroll all the way down to see the Thing dice chucker. Man, that’s cool.

I have been able to pick it up. Fun game. I have 2 comments/suggestions:
1) Is there anyway to get an extra die carrier? I just wanted a small game I can take to demo to players, and the easiest way to do that would be to have 12 die in 2 holders. I really dont want to buy 2 starters, since they are identical.
2) Know what I think is needed for the game? A 3D version of the playmat. Why? I think there needs to be a removable wall in front of the staging area. That way, at the beginning of the game, you can take off the screen to show your opponent the figures and die that you are using, and when it is time to load, you can put the screen up to hide who/where you are loading. What do you think?

Hi Rol:
Playmates doesn’t sell the carrying cases separately. Sorry! However, there’s a 3D battle arena in the works, as well as a larger carrying case.
I like the idea of the 3D wall, although it would be hard to implement with just folded paper. Adding anything else to the starter set probably wouldn’t work due to costs. Something like that might show up with the arena though.
